It was a beautiful summer night: warm, but not too warm, no wind, mellow and ebullient with a huge mass showing full of riders cresting with optimism and delight at the joys of a nice summer night’s ride around town, with for the first time ever, ZERO car confrontations, raging cops, or tragic corker fisticuffs. We broke off at 8pm, had Fritz in the Mission, and were on to the rest of the evening while there was still evening to be had. It was fabulous.
But it was JANUARY.
I could smell the polar ice cap steam from here.
