Three quick notes, all of which amused me.

a. Of all the wonderful items I received in the mail yesterday, the Most Extreme Awesome Bike Vinyl was the one my wee Z would NOT stop grabbing at, like her life depended it. And because it was bike related, I considered it good. And because it’s going on Crook, I considered it great.

2. I was riding Crook over to get our salads just now, and a whole gaggle of schoolkids were queuing up on the sidewalk by the crosswalk. As I rolled up I heard this long sustained multi-voiced: ‘WHOOOOOAAAAAA.’ they way kids, and Lung, does. And it was awesome. Sure, it’s just that my bike is pretty. But still, if wee Z were on my back like a tangled 3P0 she would have double rockstar pointed.

d. In the restaurant, while picking up salads, I saw a large group of adults eating and then there was a separate table with a group of small children also eating. One girl? Still wearing her purple bike helmet. SO AWESOME.
