How Dare you Barclays

The bank is neck deep in many world-effing-up endeavors, so when they advertised all over these rental bikes in London, folks on the ground acted fast and stickered em up appropriately.
So awesome.

I thought he’d get this posted for you here but he’s busy eating cheese and growing 2mm of facial hair. PARKing Day in SF is an annual thing where people convert a parking space into an urban park for one day. It’s conceptual, grassroots, pisses off drivers (where we have only enough parking for 60% of the cars int he city at any time) and delights pedestrians and bike riders. Anyway, his architecture office’s installation is pretty trick!
"More photos of the installation I worked on with Studios Architecture and SWA. Here is the write up about it.
Concept:
The goal we set was to design a temporary / reconfigurable architectural environment with low impact and zero waste.
Approach:
We collected rolls of large format printer paper for the primary building elements and fastened them together with binder clips. As a result no wasted materials were used in the creation of this installation. All paper rolls were diverted from waste and will be recycled. All binder clips will be used for office paper work….eventually."
Nice work bro!

She’s Got What Now?

Why do I get the feeling that’s not her bike?
I love how with Superb I chose to believe they rode there, though. HA. Brunette bias!

Assos Was Into that Wonky Bar Thing
09/17/10

Not being particularly knowledgable about the ins and outs of track racing in previous decades, I always squint and frown when I see old photos of track racers where the bars seem welded to the forks or what have you. Don’t forget, I may be obsessed with bikes, but it’s as a rider and tinkerer and enthusiast. I don’t know much about much!
So, anyway, CRABON, WONKY BAR, ASSOS, BACK THEN. ut all those in a search engine and you get… this.

Team Lope Bike Grrls: Superb
09/17/10

I was on the fence on posting these as Bike Grrls… they are local models sporting Superb’s new caps. But then I got to thinking: who says they didn’t ride there? I choose to believe.
